Henry Sayler and Nathaniel Owen served together in the War of 1812. Henry Sayler’s brother Martin was a soldier in the Revolution under Gen. Morgan. Henry Sailer was a gunsmith and married Catharine Siegel in Harrisburg, Penn. Their children were: Jacob (moved to Indiana), Daniel (moved to Indiana), John (married Deborah Hanley), Henry (married Jane Potts, Hannah Reynolds, and Ann Holmes), and Michitable/Mehitabel (married Otis Williams and moved to Richmond, Virginia). Sons John and Daniel served in the War of 1812. Henry Saylor was taught to be an expert hunter in Hector by Tayler Bone, a Seneca Indian.
