Old Store Account Book
Town of Dix, Schuyler co., NY
This is a partial list from an old store accounts ledger that was
later used as a scrapbook.
The following entries were the ones that remained uncovered by clippings.
The cover of the book says,
"THIS PARTIAL LIST IS FROM A 'SCRAPBOOK' THAT CAME OUT OF
COLES STORE IN TOWNSEND OR FROM THE ATTIC OF BERT BUCHER.
THE HOUSE IS NOW OWNED BY LEON E. MAPES."
There was no date, but from the prices charged it was probably around
the early 1900s (c.1915?).
[Generously provided by the Montour Library staff & Carol Fagnan, head of the Library Board & local historian. They are dedicated to making their local history & genealogy archives accessible to the public.]
